Message You guys are full of it. well some of you anyway.
A well balanced underdrive pulley will not screw your bearings! the only damn reason the standard pulley on your Z is a big heavy hunk of steel is NOT because Nissan designed this as a needed feature, it's simply because it's a hell of a lot cheaper for them to make it out of steel then high grade aluminium billet, and the uquipment to make them.
You guys live in the land of litigation, and if these pulleys were causing bearing failures I'm sure someone would have proved this in court by now! (damn easy to prove if this was the case me thinks)
I actually believe it decreases bearing wear, but I'm NOT going to waste my time telling you why as it seems some of you already know it all. (upping your boost will cause more wear on your turbo and crank bearings then an UD pulley)
I'm really sick of people that know "sweet fuck all" venturing an opinion like it's gospel.
Bah, later guys.
Be well,

Egg

ps check out some of the brand new Nissans and other makes, they now have aluminium pulleys as standard features

pps the standard pulley on your Z is not a "torsional damper" or "harmonic damper/balancer"
